Q: How do wheelchair scales work?

A: Wheelchair scales are esentially weighing platforms with accessible ramps that can be used to easily manouvre wheelchair patients onto the weighing surface, whilst chair weighing scales include a weighing mechanism that has been placed under the chair platform. In order to work, platforms such as the PTM require connecting to a weight indicator using an RS232 connection cable.

Q: Who uses wheelchair scales?

A: Wheelchair scales are highly versatile and can be found in a wide range of medical orientated environments including care homes, hospices, doctors offices and hospitals.
